Marcus J. Michles II: The Lawyer Who Will Show Up To Your Fight
Marcus J. Michles II obtained his undergraduate degree from Furman University and his Law Degree from Stetson University College of Law where he was chairman of the Moot Court Board.
Following undergraduate school, Marcus was a Captain in the US Army serving with the 82nd Airborne Division, Third Special Forces Group and the First Special Operations Command. While on active duty, Marcus was lead trial counsel in a number of highly-sensitive and classified trials for the United States Government. After leaving active duty, Marcus joined a statewide medical malpractice defense firm and became the Managing Partner of the Pensacola office specializing in defending physicians sued for medical negligence. In 1993, Marcus joined the firm of Kerrigan, Estess, Rankin & McLeod where he specialized in representing personal injury plaintiffs with an emphasis on medical malpractice for eight years.
Marcus, board-certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Civil Trial Practice, has won some of Northwest Florida’s largest medical malpractice jury verdicts. With more than a dozen verdicts published in local news media, Marcus is a member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum For Trial Lawyers and was recently named one of Florida’s Top Trial Attorneys by Climate Magazine.
