John James “JJ” Mills earned his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
JJ was born in Tampa, FL and raised in Shalimar, FL. While attending Cumberland, JJ was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and served as the vice president of the Florida Student Bar Association. Following law school, JJ returned to Fort Walton Beach and worked at a personal injury firm, where he gained valuable experience representing car accident and premise liability victims, before joining Michles & Booth in 2021.
At Michles & Booth, JJ focuses his practice on personal injury cases. As a graduate of Choctawhatchee High School, JJ is proud to return to his hometown of Fort Walton Beach and to represent personal injury victims across the panhandle of Florida.
JJ was just voted Treasurer of the Okaloosa Bar Association. The Okaloosa Bar Association is a voluntary bar association serving attorneys, judges and legal professionals who live or practice in Okaloosa county. With a membership of more than 100 attorneys, the OBA provides an opportunity for its members to network, receive professional training, socialize, and remain connected to each other and the Bar at large.
JJ was just named a member of the All Sports Association. Through the efforts of the annual All Sports Association Banquet and summer golf tournament, the All Sports Association funds numerous worthwhile sports organizations and charitable causes. Primary beneficiaries of the All Sports Association efforts are the Boys & Goirls Club of the Emerald Coast, Special Olympics of Florida-Okaloosa, Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center and Okaloosa-Walton FCA.
